The phase transition of thermoresponsive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) is studied under the influence of additives considered as model substances for drugs. A series of aromatic compounds with similar structures, mainly benzaldehydes, is chosen. The lower critical solution temperature (LCST) is determined by differential scanning calorimetry and 1H-NMR. All additives cause a down shift of the LCST, which depends on additive molecular structure and concentration. Since the LCST shifts are not correlated to hydrophobicity or solubility of the additive, the detailed substitution pattern is discussed as the controlling factor. The question whether LCST shifts can be explained by either the additives affecting the solvent quality or by specific interactions of additives with the polymer is addressed by LCST determination in dependence on polymer concentration. Though both factors are relevant, specific additive-polymer interactions are shown to play a major role in controlling the LCST.  相似文献

The presented contribution aims at reconsidering the role of filler in affecting the ionic transport in composite gel electrolytes for Li-ion cells based on microporous polymer membranes. The gels have been prepared by swelling thin PVdF/HFP membranes either with conventional liquid electrolyte or with pure propylene carbonate solvent. The membranes contained dispersed submicron-size modified silica filler added in a wide range of weight ratios. The effect of filler content on the kinetics of liquid phase absorption and evaporation from the composite membranes, as well as on the conductivity of the corresponding gel electrolytes, has been studied and discussed in terms of the “colloidal” and “soggy sand” electrolyte concepts. It has been found that conductivity increase of composite gels is not directly correlated with the liquid electrolyte uptake. On this basis it is concluded that important part of ionic transport in this type of composite gel polymer electrolytes is realized on the filler grain boundaries, through overlapping space charge layers of the silica grains.  相似文献

Polyaniline nanotubes (PANI-NT) based film electrophoretically deposited onto indium–tin–oxide (ITO) coated glass plate has been utilized for covalent immobilization of lipase (LIP), via glutaraldehyde (Glu), for triglyceride detection using impedimetric technique. It is shown that fatty acid molecules produced during triglyceride hydrolysis result in change in charge transfer resistance (RCT) of PANI-NT film with varying triglyceride concentration. LIP/Glu/PANI-NT/ITO bioelectrode has linearity as 25–300 mg dL?1, sensitivity as 2.59 × 10?3 ?1 mg?1 dL, response time as 20 s and regression coefficient as 0.99. A low value of apparent Michaelis–Menten constant (~0.62 mM) indicates high enzyme affinity to tributyrin. The LIP/Glu/PANI-NT/ITO bioelectrode has been utilized to estimate triglyceride in serum samples.  相似文献

We present new tags based on the derivatives of phenylboronic acid and apply them for the selective detection of sugars and peptide-sugar conjugates in mass spectrometry. We investigated the binding of phenylboronic acid and its quaternary ammonium salt (QAS) derivatives to carbohydrates and peptide-derived Amadori products by HR-MS and MS/MS experiments. The formation of complexes between sugar or sugar-peptide conjugates and synthetic tags was confirmed on the basis of the unique isotopic distribution resulting from the presence of boron atom. Moreover, incorporation of a quaternary ammonium salt dramatically improved the efficiency of ionization in mass spectrometry. It was found that the formation of a complex with phenylboronic acid stabilizes the sugar moiety in glycated peptides, resulting in simplification of the fragmentation pattern of peptide-derived Amadori products. The obtained results suggest that derivatization of phenylboronic acid as QAS is a promising method for sensitive ESI-MS detection of carbohydrates and their conjugates formed by non-enzymatic glycation or glycosylation.

pH‐dependent growth laws of the mass coverage Γ(n) of poly(diallyldimethylammonium) chloride and poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) layer‐by‐layer films are analyzed by Quartz Crystal Microbalance‐D. (Attenuated Total Reflection)‐FTIR spectroscopy shows a degree of dissociation of acrylic acid groups in the films identical to that in solution. Apart from pH‐regimes of differently pronounced exponential and linear growth, the corresponding kinetics indicate pH‐dependent adsorption, reorganization, and diffusion processes. As the thickest films form with almost uncharged PAA (low pH), the results can only partly be explained by the dissociation degree of PAA in the film. For intermediate and high pH values chain interdiffusion as a mechanism for nonlinear growth is strongly dependent on the charge density of the PAA chains. However, at low pH other types of interactions, most likely ion–dipole interactions, play a major role in the multilayer growth. Quasi-one-dimensional lead (II) iodide compound, C14H18N2Pb2I6, with unique crystal structure was synthesized and solved for the crystal structure. These novel inorganic-organic hybrids have high thermal stability of upto 300 °C and show excitonic and charge-transfer features in their optical properties. An attempt has been made to understand the structural and optical mechanisms between inorganic one-dimensional polymeric PbI nano ribbons and the guest organic moiety for future applications in nanoscaled electronic devices.  相似文献

The solvent effect on acetyl amino acid methyl esters and C- and N-protected di- and tripeptide derivatives has been studied in deuterium oxide (D2O), 1.1.1.3.3.3-hexafluoroisopropanol (HFiP), dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and methylene chloride (CH2Cl2). The interpretation is based on the amide I region. For the amino acid derivatives the relative shift of the amide I signal clearly indicates the strength of the interaction with the solvent molecules. However, in HFiP and DMSO solutions the occurrence of two overlapping signals for the amide I and the ester carbonyl signal, respectively, indicates the existence of two major conformers. Knowing the solvent effects on the small amino acid esters allows the assignment of the signals in di- and tripeptide derivatives. Although the identification of turn structures in these flexible molecules is not possible, the band positions and intensity of the deconvoluted amide I region clearly shows that certain conformers can be stabilised. It can be concluded that the band profile in the amide I region is determined by the number of amino acid residues linked in the molecule, the bulkiness of the side chains and their sequence and to a major extend by the solvent properties.  相似文献

Kale is a member of the Brassicaceae family and has a complex profile of flavonoid glycosides. Therefore, kale is a suitable matrix to discuss in a comprehensive study the different fragmentation patterns of flavonoid glycosides. The wide variety of glycosylation and acylation patterns determines the health‐promoting effects of these glycosides. The aim of this study is to investigate the naturally occurring flavonoids in kale. A total of 71 flavonoid glycosides of quercetin, kaempferol and isorhamnetin were identified using a high‐performance liquid chromatography diode‐array detection/electrospray ionization multi‐stage mass spectrometry (HPLC‐DAD/ESI‐MSn) method. Of these 71 flavonol glycosides, 27 were non‐acylated, 30 were monoacylated and 14 were diacylated. Non‐acylated flavonol glycosides were present as mono‐, di‐, tri‐ and tetraglycosides. This is the first time that the occurrence of four different fragmentation patterns of non‐acylated flavonol triglycosides has been reported in one matrix simultaneously. In addition, 44 flavonol glycosides were acylated with p‐coumaric, caffeic, ferulic, hydroxyferulic or sinapic acid. While monoacylated glycosides existed as di‐, tri‐ and tetraglycosides, diacylated glycosides occurred as tetra‐ and pentaglycosides. To the best of our knowledge, 28 compounds in kale are reported here for the first time. These include three acylated isorhamnetin glycosides (isorhamnetin‐3‐O‐sinapoyl‐sophoroside‐7‐O‐D‐glucoside, isorhamnetin‐3‐O‐feruloyl‐sophoroside‐7‐O‐diglucoside and isorhamnetin‐3‐O‐disinapoyl‐triglucoside‐7‐O‐diglucoside) and seven non‐acylated isorhamnetin glycosides.
